You will be with a certified sommelier certified through the court of master sommeliers with years of practical experience in the winery and classroom. Your class will start with a printed booklet with all of the information you will be taught during the day. Educational materials and tasting fees are included in the cost of the tour. Everyone who successfully passes all three levels (General, Intermediate and Advanced) will receive a free wine tour from Oregon Wine Tours. Talk to the wine makers while you taste some of the best wine in the area with a new and fresh perspective.
Wine Education To Go - We want to help you to feel comfortable with wine. It can be intimidating to walk into a tasting room or be handed a wine menu at a restaurant and be told to order wine for everyone at the table. You will learn wine etiquette, wine terminology, the history of Oregon's wine industry, how wine is made and much more. Ever get confused trying to read wine labels? We can help you with that too.
We can also create a custom class just for you too. Do you have a group that would like to focus on some specific topics and can't find just the right class to take? Give us a call and we'll put a class together just for your group.
Wine should be fun and enjoyable. Wine is not only for the few but for everyone. Our classes are not taught by wine snobs or people talking over your head. We teach the class to you and are happy to answer all of your questions.
Food and wine pairings are one of our more asked about classes. What wine goes with what food? We can provide you with some basic rules and you can try wines with some different foods. See how wine and food can work with each other to create one of life's greatest pleasures.
Maybe you just want to learn more about wine, get a different perspective or take your knowledge to a new level. That's what we are all about. From novice to serious enophile, we are here for all of your wine education needs. Class Schedule: Call 503-681-WINE to reserve your seat. Seating is limited so don't wait. The idea is to keep the classes small so everyone gets individual attention. These are the basic level class. Other classes available are the Intermediate and Advanced classes. We can also provide a custom class at your location or a private class for your group.
